Windows 10 End-of-Life

HOW DOES IT IMPACT YOUR BUSINESS

Windows 10 is going end of life October 14th, 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer offer any security updates or technical support for devices that do not use Windows 11 operating systems (OS).

There are few differences in usage between Windows 10 and 11, with only a few minor interface updates. The biggest upgrade of Windows 11 is a greatly improved security system. The Windows 11 OS will improve security standards in devices and help businesses comply with the upgraded insurance policies that are increasing with cyber security threats. There are some other key upgrades in Windows 11 that will improve user experience:

Dangers of Windows 10 After October 1st

Failing to update to Windows 11 before the official support deadline for Windows 10 can expose users to significant risks. Once support ends, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, or technical assistance for Windows 10. This leaves systems vulnerable to malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats that exploit outdated software.

Additionally, many newer applications and hardware will become incompatible, leading to reduced performance and productivity. If you accept those additional risks and stay on Windows 10, there are also significantly higher software costs for devices still on Windows 10 after the deadline.
